Hi, I’m Mike.

Growing up I wanted to be two things, a US Navy SEAL and a business owner. While I never made it into the Navy I was a business owner for over ten years. That being said I did study the SEAL mindset, to think unconventionally, to look for better ways, and to always be looking for the next challenge.

One challenge I will never stop facing is my ADHD. I was diagnosed with ADHD in my early teens and was lucky enough to have a great doctor who taught me to not only manage my ADHD but to harness it to my advantage. I was able to learn to use my stream of consciousness to solve problems, to just let my mind flow and harness the creative solutions that I came up with.

I’m that guy sitting in front of my computer in a hoodie with the earbuds in, but what no one sees is that I’m thinking, I’m processing ideas. If you were to watch me for long enough (please don’t do that, it’s creepy) you’d see me stop whatever I was doing, grab a pen and paper, and start writing. Then just like that I’d be back to what I was doing. What you would have just witnessed was an idea, maybe not the full idea but a spark that I can research later to expand the idea and fully develop it.

This is a creative process that seems foreign to most, but it’s what works for me. And that’s what every person has to do, find what works for them and go for it.

I’ll finish up with a quote from Robin Williams

You’re only given a little spark of madness. You mustn’t lose it.

I love this quote because it says to me that you have to embrace your passion, and that’s what I’m doing with this site. This site is my “madness” because I have a passion for ideas.
